Refund Policy:

Cancellation more than two weeks prior to the start of the course will result in a full refund, minus a 15% administration fee (up to a maximum of $50). If you need to withdraw from the course due to a physician’s order, you will receive a refund for half of the remaining term. No refunds will be given for dismissals due to disciplinary action, late arrivals, or early departures.

How do I know if the youth require 1:1 supports to attend Empower Simcoe’s Youth Programs?

(If the answer is yes to any of the following, they need 1:1)

  • Does the youth need assistance in the washroom?
  • Does the youth struggle to transition to new activities or stay with a group?
  • Is the youth a flight risk?
  • Is the youth at risk of self-harm or harming others?

In order for a family-employed Support Worker to accompany the youth to the program, that Support Worker must either:

  1. Submit a Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening that has been completed within the last 90 days from the time of submission, or
  2. Must have completed the CHAP (Community Helper for Active Participation) registration process through supportyourway.ca/respiteservices.com.

Have you considered using your Special Services at Home (SSAH) / Family Relief or other community funding to pay for Youth Programming?

If you have any questions about, or require assistance with funding, please reach out to youth@empowersimcoe.ca
