General
- Empower Simcoe’s Snoezelen Rooms are fully accessible and users can access lift system, if required. Users must provide their own slings. Guidance in usage of lift system will be provided.
- All individuals on Empower Simcoe property must respect the values of diversity, inclusion and mutual respect.
- No personal care is permitted in the Snozelen Room.
- The User agrees: a) to abide by all Empower Simcoe policies and regulations, all Provincial and Federal laws, and City bylaws; b) to only use the facility for the stated purpose and no other; and c) that Empower Simcoe is not responsible for damages or loss of any articles belonging to the User or their support.
- Empower Simcoe has the right to manage and restrict use of agency facilities at its discretion. Limitations on use of facilities will be for reasons of priority of use or safety and security of persons and facilities, or to comply with Empower Simcoe policies.
- The User shall not move or alter any Snoezelen equipment from their original set-up position.
- The Snoezelen Rental Agreement must be agreed to by the User and fees paid before the booking is considered confirmed.
- Empower Simcoe’s Snoezelen facilities must be left in a damage free condition. The User will be charged for any damage incurred to Empower Simcoe facilities and/or equipment and this will include the exterior of all buildings and vehicles. The User may be requested to pay to Empower Simcoe a damage deposit.
- Cancellations or appointment rescheduling must be completed no later than 24 hours prior to the event date and time. If a cancellation is not received within the required time the User will be charged a $15 cancellation fee, which will be deducted from the refund total.
- Empower Simcoe’s operational needs take priority for facility use. In the event the rental causes or may cause significant interference with the operations of the Agency, this agreement may be terminated by Empower Simcoe on short notice. If this occurs, the Agency will endeavor to provide alternate times. If suitable alternative arrangements cannot be made, the User will be granted a full refund of all fees. The Agency assumes no further responsibility or liability in the event of such cancellations.
- Except to the extent caused by the negligence of Empower Simcoe, the User shall indemnify and hold harmless the Agency and any of its officers, employees, agents and contractors from any and all loss, liability, claims or expenses arising out of the use and/or occupation of the property belonging to Empower Simcoe by the User and any of its officers, employees, servants, agents, contractors and volunteers.
- The Users will only have access to the rented facility during the arranged rental times. It is expected that renters will arrive on time and vacate promptly. Failure to comply may result in additional charges.
- Free parking is in effect all year-round.
- Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not permitted on Empower Simcoe property.
